That's the price you pay for using mmc,
yeah 33p !
had a few thoughts on this last ball score, so :
1) if playing off a actual 31/2" disc or 51/4" disc, on last ball, eject disc, will give Disc Err so score is still on screen.
2) on emulator, on last ball, press Eject Disc (File > Disc Options > Eject disc0) gives Disc Err.
3) use the version below, I changed file "LEVEL1", inputed lines 401to404, press 'S' to continue :)
ArcPinball - hault S cont.zip
SSD -hault on S press
(21.63 KiB) Downloaded 30 times
(I chose 'S' only, as anykey may continue as battering the flippers!)
and you get :

Quite variable, but also fun! Managed 6807 after a few goes, but no screen shot ...... and no RETURN! :D
Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, for this competition, you have to have a picture of the score. Please give it another go, I'm sure you'lll beat your previous score and use the file that CMcDougall has provided. It will stop the game on the score screen and you will be able to get a screen shot of it.

Hmmm, almost about to give up on this one for all it's charm (bugs!), this score was made when I was trying to focus on just getting the extra ball targets hit... I didn't get the extra ball but somehow I got a better score than previous efforts. Must of played 30 games with scores between 2k to 6k grrrr ](*,) :-x

^ mind me never to upload any MIA games again then Ed....
never done that with my disc (chk upload above), perfect on a real machine!
(Hold down break, take pic of score)
tried other pinball games, all just basic or crap graphics (worse collision detect) they are utter rubbish compared to this masterpiece 8)
Pity no other screens , but this was at the end of the beebs games 1991 life..... then had 286PCs
I always used to think Microball was a pretty good pinball game back in the day. Not sure how well it's aged though..

With regards to the return key, I notice it gives you 1000 points every time you press it, so it's a definite cheat and an easy way to get a winning score.. Guess we're going to have to trust people's honesty here :/

I didn't realize it gave you a 1000 points. Interesting. Well, to be honest Barbarossa, we always trust people's honesty. The only person a dishonest person really ever hurts is themselves so it's kind of self monitoring. It's no fun to win if you didn't play fair and the person that would do that knows that as well.

And yeh, it's not a very good one......

It's pretty random and buggy, but it's smooth at least. Incredibly frustrating, but I've played worse.

It's taken me until now to get close to my third game's score that I though was easy and so didn't bother submitting - 19230!
There is a really annoying bug, that I haven't seen mentioned, where the game just locks up when you loose the ball on the upper play-field and it never reloads the bottom one. This has happened to me several times, but the most annoying was when I had got two extra balls on my first ball, which I'm sure would have been a million point game!

Actually, I thoght someone else had mentioned this bug too. Searched and couldn't find it but I'm sure I read it.

@Chrisn... my apologies. I was actually joking there. I know no disrespect was meant or inferred. I was just having a bit of fun. We are all here just to have fun with the games, even buggy ones.

The more I play this, the more I am impressed with the amount of work that must have gone in to it and I'm not surprised that at some point the author or publisher must have said "It's good enough - ship it".

Urgh, got a little bit better but the bugs are driving me nuts I tellz ya :x

Ball through the flipper, ball through the barrier, magic angle rebounds, but the worst is the carnival style targets that take direct hits and won't go down ](*,) I have managed to get all the targets down for the left side bonus (extra ball, 50k, 2x) when 50k was highlighted but usually I mess it up by jamming the ball up to level 2 or the ball just decides it's had enough and dribbles down the guts.

I want to like this game but it needed a little polishing to make the game play more consistent maybe?

Final High Score Tables updated for Round 3......

This game was a great bug filled game that could drive one to go crazy. Today,
CMcDougall had the best score (by a smidge) even though he was under pressure from your's truly (bridesmaid once again). Congratulations on a nice win Col..... =D> =D> =D>
