SCORING
Points will be awarded using the following formula.
points = (YS / BS * 50) + ((NOP - YP + 1) * (50 / NOP))
YS = Your Score
BS = Best Score
NOP = Number of Players
YP = Your Position

I think because it's a jpg? Not really sure but I've had this happen to me too.... it's ok, can click and see it that way.

Great game, this. I can do a lot better than this, but I'm a bit rusty. First go:

There we go, that's a bit more like it. I think I lost 5 lives on level 12 - once I lost two, it made it incredibly hard to continue with that amount of firepower.

Well, got to level 6 but was only shooting a single stream of bullets so..... short lived.... 49,110....

Had a bit of a good run up to level 12, kept the 4 shooter for most of it but threw away 4 lives on level 12 when I thought I might be able to actually finish the game... one tactic I used is that once I get the 4 shooter I don't pick up any more boosts unless it's the bomb.

So there are 12 Levels?
Do you know if it starts again after that?
How do you tell what the power ups are.... I've just been picking them up as I go.....

There are 14 levels IIRC - the difficulty really ramps up on levels 12 - 14. Once the game is completed, it doesn't loop.

As far as the upgrades go, I think it's Red = spread shot upgrade, Yellow = close shot upgrade, B = Bomb. Once you've got the full spread shot upgrade, avoid the yellow upgrades at that point 'cos they'll downgrade you from a 4-shot spread shot to a 3-shot close shot.

Best score i've manged so far, have never managed to get off Level 3, and nto been able to do so this time either.

I've also noted getting a life at some point. Is there a life upgrade or is that point related?

The forum doesn't like jpg, I use png. Are you using beebem? If so you can change the screenshot format in the File > Screen Capture Options menu.
