Managed to get two 50,000 point bonuses in the first few levels, then slogged my way though up to level 17.

I think my strategy from now on is to try for three 50,000 point bonuses in the early levels.

Wouter, please can you edit your images in future to remove the "sophie" name in the HS table. In the future I recommend using the SSD linked in the first post - this has a rectified HS table that doesn't contain any offensive names.

Thanks in advance.

Well my speed is nothing compared to barbarossa69, but I suspect he has played this or a similar game quite a bit in the past :)

Last week I played a few games, but then today I went for the all-blocks-used bonus as that is clearly the way to get high scores. I've gone to much higher levels with test-play (last week after the 13200 score) but it doesn't give that many points...

Trying that (to get all blocks used bonus) also forces you to become much better at anticipating and tactics...
Yeah I have played similar games before, but not this version.. I REALLY like this version for some reason, I enjoy the planning ahead part..

My tactics basically are get a small track going just to cover me for the start, then try and build around that to use all the squares.. Don't be afraid to change your mind and replace tracks! Also I rarely use the crossover feature unless I have to, it's much harder to use all the squares if you do.

When I got 358k I used all the squares on levels 2 and 3, and 9 and 10 (!) so if you get lucky anything is possible! :D

Managed to get three 50,000 point bonuses here, on levels 1, 3, and 9 IIRC.

Again some stupid oversight meant an early end. In another game I got to level 28 and it would be a 300 k game if I did that again. Main problem is just silly mistakes. I went for 4x 50k bonus and did that on lvl 1,2,3,4. Score 251,550.

This may be my last try with this game.

How frustrating.

As Wouter's already mentioned above, I can rack up a tidy six-figure score on this on a good day. However, I spent four days before yesterday in bed with the Australian Flu, feeling like death, and managed the below in the one solitary game (on an original BBC disc version) I attempted in that time with every moment staring at the screen provoking a feeling of nausea. Yay.

Am currently at mum and dad's for Xmas, feeling a bit better. If I get time to use their steam-driven PC among all the jollities I might see whether I can get bbcmicro.co.uk to run the game successfully for me, but seeing as internet connection in Saddleworth is deathly slow, I ain't hopeful.

What a chance for big points missed!

To confirm: score of 59,000

Haha, the parents' present to themselves was superfast broadband. Game on!!!

Here we are - a few games later on the version embedded on bbcmicro.co.uk, I come up with 97,800. Would have loved more time on this game in the past fortnight, especially as the next game, Bug Eyes, is never one I've been historically much cop at.

Final High Score Tables updated for this round......

This was a pretty tough 'thinking/action' game where high scores were well earned. Today,
Barbarossa69 - came in first with a landslide score. Great game Barbarossa69 and congratulations on a runaway win. =D> =D> =D>
