Hmm... Think I might need to not skip past all the instructions next time I load this game :-D

Low score (because I suspect you really can't call it a high score) = 305

No worries, Lee! I need to read the instructions too  and I chose the game! Never played this bitd but always wanted to as I felt it might be pseudo educational (being a Primary teacher).

Not a bad game, will take a bit of learning how the level ups work, so far I've swum around collecting food and the dragonfly eggs.

The instructions are pretty 'savage' in themselves, I'll have to go back and read through.

Slight boost, I grew two times on the way to becoming a frog.

Very twitchy controls and collision isn't very precise to make it all the more challenging.

If the dragonfly lava is in pursuit then diagonal moves and rapid turns work best.

Todays score, still don't understand how to level up taddy to a frog, must of eaten enough worms to get about 6 beetle lavae but didn't see any further development towards frog... tough game really with all it's charms (quirks).

No one else giving it a good go?

I can't say I'm enjoying this game too much, the collision detection is a bit frustrating. Maybe I need to read the instructions through... Best so far: 1280

Getting better... 4980

I have one tip to share: Follow the dragonfly when it flies overhead, to give yourself a good chance of catching the eggs (and the bonus points) when they fall. This also prevents the eggs from growing into larvae and then coming after you...

I remember buying this years ago after reading a great review of it (I think it was in Electron User) and being profoundly disappointed at how crap I was at playing it!
Time has not been kind to my reactions and my score is therefore like the tadpole (very small indeed).

I haven't got the patience for this one... especially with the weird collision detection where it's anyone's guess whether picking things up is actually going to work or not.

I think this was my score, but I don't know why it looked like this (it didn't in any other games)! 1260
My last game was 1060, but the collision detection and the way it seems to know which way not to turn has my blood pressure too high, so time for a break.

PS I would say that this game has a great premise and could have been quite good.

Final High Score Tables Updated for Season 11, 7th Round......

The collision detection on this game is 'interesting' however some did get pretty good scores on this, I think it's just a matter of persevering and FourthStone did that best on this one. In spite of it's apparent flaws, a fair number played it, though not often as can be seen by this thread. Congratulations go out to you on you're nice win FourthStone. Well played.!!! =D> =D> =D>
