Tatuing Einstein 256 Power without Monitor

Post by RetroGuy » Tue Feb 18, 2020 11:02 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can buy a power adaptor for the Einstein 256.

Also how do I connect this to a modern TV?

Thanks.

Retroguy.

Don't know if you have the manual, I'll attach a pdf of it, but it has a pinout of the power / video connector.
Seems to take +12V and +5V DC.

I've uploaded it here : http://penguin.stats.warwick.ac.uk/~stsxab/Einstein/ as it was too big for stardot....

Cheers,

Phill.

Try this for the AV cable:

Yes, that's the cable I got, it works well enough for the moment. Hoping to get a proper rgb/scart one at some point.

Thanks for uploading the manual.

Is there any one who makes the power supplies?

With that cable, I use a molex power adapter, I use the same one on my Amstrad 6128. I'm trying to remember the brand name, it was a decent quality one for around £30.
