Hi Phil,

If you download the AtomSoftwareCatalog_20180225_V10.zip, you'll find an Excel sheet with all titles.
Just filter the status on missing and you'll get a list.

Greetings
Kees

It's pretty current. I last updated it a couple of weeks ago:

Why do you ask? Do you have some new leads? :)

Hi all,

I'm new here and I just recently managed to get myself an Atom from someone I met at a car boot sale for a very low price. I was really pleased to find it still works pretty much perfectly as far as I can tell. It seems to be a fairly "vanilla" machine, no colour board or extra interfaces, but I think it has got 12K of RAM at least as games like Jet Set Miner work fine. If anyone could point me in the right direction to maybe get a colour board or sd card interface that would be great.

The only way that I have to load software at the moment is via the tape interface, using either a PC outputting the audio or a real tape. I found some .atm files online from this software archive, converted them to wav with atm2wav and played them into the machine. Mostly this works fine but I still get quite a lot of "error 94" issues after loading is complete with certain games. The Acornsoft Adventures (Dungeon, House, Intergalactic etc) will not load at all. There are several files that make them up, the loader, the game engine and the game itself. I load the loader first, select my game, then load the engine followed by the game but all it ever gives me is error 94. Also games like Hammurabi and frogger appear to load successfully, then give me an error 94 when trying to run them. Would appreciate any advice on what I could do, perhaps there are other load commands I could try but have already tried load, *fload *r."filename" *run"filename". Could also be that some of these games are not meant to be loaded from tape i guess

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!

Cheers,

Welcome to Stardot.

Acornsoft Dungeon does contain two files, but should be possible to load manually from tape with:

Code: Select all

*LOAD ADVENTUR
*RUN DUNGEON
But you will need to have 12K (and no RAM faults).

The other Acornsoft adventures are similar:

Code: Select all

*LOAD ADVENTUR
*RUN HOUSE
and

Code: Select all

*LOAD ADVENTUR
*RUN INTERGAL

Hi,
Whilst searching for some BBC Micro games, I came across these in "Games Computing" magazine (issue 2, Feb. 1984)
ATOM solitaire square.jpg
ATOM Yahtzee 1.jpg
ATOM Yahtzee 2.jpg
The magazine is quite hard to find so maybe these are missing from the archive??

Lee.
