What is a good PSU for a 5V modded Atom?

What is a good PSU for a 5V modded Atom?

I'm planning on removing and keeping the extra RAM and ROM and replacing them with a modern board, so I think 1.2A will be enough.

A tour of ebay suggests:

£9 GENUINE ORIGINAL MW MD050S120 IC REGULATOR POWER SUPPLY ADAPTER 5V 1200mA
seems to have screws! UK buy it now

£10 UK 5V 5.0V 2A 2.0A Mains AC-DC Switching Adaptor Regulated Power Supply 5.5mm
UK buy it now

£13.50 4A/4000MA 5V 20W AC/DC MAINS REGULATED POWER ADAPTOR/SUPPLY/CHARGER/PSU
UK buy it now

There are also many LED PSUs (most don't mention being regulated).

If you have Maplin store near you that is still open, they may still have some that are suitable, and which by now will be discounted.

I'll go though your links later.

The basic problem is that it is not possible to know the quality of power supplies bought via eBay or similar outlets.

In terms of quality, I'm talking about both how good the regulation of the output voltage is, and the quality of the design and workmanship, that is, is it safe with regards to the separation of the mains voltage from the low voltage output circuitry.

Hence, the normal recommendation is to buy from a U.K. store that you trust.

go into your old mobile / tablet 5v Adaptor drawer, pick out something 1AMP for a non modded Atom.
if new mods, or old ram mod boards, use >1AMP

I use these, easy as pie 8)

I also use (and advice) a 5V 2A usb adapter, bought in a local store.

If you mean LED driver power supplies, well, basically LEDs need their current regulating (limiting), not the voltage. But some PSU sold for use with LEDs are in fact ordinary PSU's...
