Hi Walter,

your Atom is looking great with the colourboard.
Did you mention that this is a Coco colourboard because it's an unknown board for the Atom.

There is a difference between text characters and semi-graphic characters.
Text characters are green on a darkgreen background and semi-graphic characters are red or yellow on a black background.

In text mode, the screen is filled with spaces which means that the background is darkgreen.
In graphics mode (CLEAR0), the screen is filled with semi-graphic character 192 which means that the background is black.

In monochrome mode, darkgreen is shown as black and in colour mode darkgreen is shown as grey.

Greetings
Kees

The original noise killer board from A.E.Knowles fits in the 6847 socket so if there's still room in the case, you could fit this board in your colourboard.

Thank you, yes, that's the schematic I will most likely use when I swing around into Acorn Atom mode, currently messing around with a ESP32 based wifi modem for my Commodore 64 and 128. :) it's nice logging into BBS's at 2400 board.

Very nifty indeed. :)
