Hmm, when faced with possible explanations, suddenly misinformation and diversionary tactics start to appear...
I don't know what you mean? :-k

Ooh... what's that over there?.....

It's almost like you've found something "they" don't want you to know...

Anagram of swedeliadevenom is "I made Lee send vow "
More likely anagram of swedeliadevenom is "Lee David Newsome"
I knew it had to be an anagram, nice work

No "I" in "Lee David Newsome" though. Maybe it's "I, Lee David Newsome". Or "Lee David Newsome I".

Well, well, well. Perhaps Swedelia wasn't such a towering genius after all..?!

Lee has kindly been deciphering the listing and has come up with a bugfix. See bbcmicro.co.uk for the updated version of the .SSD:

Has anyone made any progress in the game?
I may have reached the end but there is a tantalizing hint of more, much more that doesn't seem to be available. Perhaps something happened to Swedelia before she finished the rest, or perhaps there is a bug that fails to load the next part?

This game is lots of fun and I hope there's more. =D> =D> =D>

Here's where it stopped for me with the beeb cursor on screen.

The program ends (or falls over) in the same way for the other <rot13> fpranevbf </rot13>.

Keeping my fingers crossed that some more of Swedelia's old discs may be discovered!

Well done on getting this far Rod 8)
Current research suggests that this game was a "jumping off point" for 3 other mini scenarios, none of which have been discoveed yet, but ongoing work in this field is currently being undertaken...

What an entertaining and enigmatic adventure game. Reminiscent of the Scott Adams ones in format and bursting with atmosphere. Took me a while to figure out how to <rot13>ragre gur jnyy-fnsr pbqr</rot13> but excellently written and it's a fun diversion. Completed earlier today and looking forward to the next installment.

I never thought it would be possible to die by two methods simultaneously however <rot13>Vs lbh tb gb gur pbageby ebbz sbe cebwrpg FVTZN jura gur oynpx ohggba vf gurer naq orsber lbh vafreg gur pelfgny, fhzzba n uvqrbhf perngher ol enaqbzyl cerffvat ohggbaf naq gura cerff gur oynpx ohggba</rot13>

Also <rot13>Lbh pna gel naq fubbg gur perngher orsber lbh unir gur fubgtha naq trg gur fnzr erfcbafr</rot13>

Great mini adventure game.

Thanks melchett. :D
Of the 3 points you raise, points 2 and 3 should now be fixed.
Thinking about point 1...

Isn't that the sort of thing you expect to happen when you fiddle with things you don't understand? Seems reasonable to me. In fact I think I remember that if you <rot13>cerff nal svir pbybhef va frdhrapr gur uvqrbhf perngher nccrnef rira jvgubhg gur oynpx ohggba</rot13>. This seemed a fun part of the adventure.

I also liked the way the <rot13> uvqrbhf perngher</rot13> could be encountered in the level above.

All great fun! =D>

That reminds me of another side effect actually, if you <rot13>Fhzzba gur perngher ol cerffvat enaqbzyl svir ohggbaf, tb rnfg naq rknzvar Mryyvatre'f erznvaf naq gura tb hc, gur perngher jba'g or gurer nf vg'f va gur pbageby ebbz</rot13>

I actually enjoyed these unexpected consequences - put a smile on my face at the very least.

It is in hindsight - and I was kicking myself after I worked it out. I guess that's part of the fun though. BITD I think it would have been more obvious. I think I just overthought it :x

On behalf of Swedelia De Venom, may I thank everyone for the positive feedback for the game :D
I think she would be glad people enjoyed it.
As the official custodian of the game, I have now fixed all the niggles that have been mentioned.
(except one, which I am leaving  )

I've packaged and released Lee's latest updates on bbcmicro.co.uk:
I'm sure Swedelia would be proud.
