Ample DCT files

Post by pau1ie » Sun Oct 14, 2018 8:47 pm

I have some files which were downloaded from Ample DCT.
Ample DCT is a Music 500/5000 viewdatabase (similar in style to
PRESTEL), and can be called anytime on (0348) 239944. A library of
worksheets, and music telesoftware and other facilities are all offered
FREE of charge.
This transcribed from a dot matrix printed sheet. Turns out OCR is rubbish with dot matrix text. I have checked it carefully so hope it is OK. I can upload the scanned images if anyone wants to double check.

First up are a couple of worksheets about composition on the Music 5000. I don't have sheet 2, this contains 1 and 3.

This one looks like a screen print of a page from the Ample DCT bulletin board. It's short, so I just pasted it below.

Code: Select all

  AMPLE DCT D6.T.37b 0p
 ***************************************
 Add the following NUCLEUS words:
"var" [ GVAR ]
"wait" [ REP(QTIME -200 £< )UNTIL(IDLE
)REP ON var £! ]
       % Change -200 to suit
"next" [ REP(var £?)UNTIL(IDLE)REP

At the end of the RUN word, add:
next $2 """jukebo""LOAD RUN"

...where jukebox is the file you want
to chain. (Change this to whatever
 file you want.)

At the beginning of the music, insert:
OFF var £!

At the end of the last music part, add:
wait
 ***************************************

AMPLE Nucleus Programming Words

This worksheet describes the advertised extra programming words in AMPLE
Nucleus and lists those that are the same as in AMPLE BCE. It is extracted from
the forthcoming "AMPLE Nucleus Programmer's Guide" by Hybrid Technology.

Some more files:
  • Ample DCT Maestro: AMPLE DCT is reorganising its service to conform with the present copyright laws
  • Hints and Tips: A couple of screen grabs from the hits and tips section of the bulletin board
  • Auto Chain Utility: Allan Gardner wrote and documented a utility to chain one program into another.
