I have the Mini-Office PCB with all 4 x ROM on-board. It would, probably, work in the Electron if someone could get it to work in Mode 6 - as opposed to Mode 7 where you can't control the cursor :?

I could quite easily test that in MAME, to see how it works with the Electron. Currently in Brazil for next couple of weeks though so will have to wait until I get back.

That would be great, Nigel . . . Thanks. It would fit into one ROM with, probably, one PLD in a cartridge.

If you know the issue of EU try looking here http://www.acornelectron.co.uk/eug/top_lvl.html

View and Viewsheet are much better alternatives. You can find Sideways RAM\ROM (cracked) versions.

Yes, you're correct, Richard, however, the 'integrated' nature of Mini-Office does appeal to some people and a single ROM socket 'integrated' version can be even more appealing, in some cases!

Yes, single ROM socket "integrated" version does look appealing. I don't know the "mini-office" PCB for the Beeb, but I did have back in the 80's both EU Mini-office (on tape), and View and ViewSheet cartridges (far superior). Unfortunately I sold (for 80 pounds back in 1990) all my original Electron kit when I bought a 286 PC . What a mistake! #-o

And I do remember setting up View with lots of "escape codes" for the Panasonic Dot Matrix printer I had. I think there was a utility from EU to help do this and save and load it. Emm, what issue was it? :-k

Here is a disc copy of the tape files which seems to work in ElectrEm Win32v06c DFS mode (D break to switch to DFS mode) then CH."DBASE" or GRAPH or SPREAD or WORD.
I think I have removed all reference of *TAPE (T.) and changed them to *DISC (D.).
Note on the Electrem emulator it uses a E00 DFS as most of the programs load the 2nd part at E00 so wont work if page is above that.
MiniOffice.zip
(46.08 KiB) Downloaded 9 times
These are the associated file with each program from the tape.
DBase, DBase1, DFILE (data file)
Graph, Graph1, Money (data file)
Spread, Spread1
Word, Word1
