Latest version of Riscos on PC via Rpi emulator

Post by archie456 » Wed Oct 23, 2019 8:04 pm

Hi,

I'm wondering if I can run the latest version of Riscos on a PC using a Raspberry Pi emulator - to run Riscos PI

(I'm yet to find any good Raspberry Pi emulators though)

Has anyone done this, is it workable?

Thanks.

Not that I know of. However, I struggle to think of a good reason to want to do so - "RISC OS Pi" is really just RISC OS 5, which runs fine on RPCEmu. RPCEmu does not emulate an ARMv5/v6/v7/v8 CPU, but apart from that...

Have fun

I mean, if you really want to do this you could emulate a Raspberry Pi under QEMU and run it from there. That's quite a lot of work, and doesn't get you any further than RPCEmu.

Thanks, I'll try RPCEmu - I've not come across that before.

Cheers.
