RPCEmu vs. Virtual Acorn (Or Others?)

Post by jamesclephanecameron » Mon Jul 18, 2016 1:14 pm

Hi All,

I've not done much with emulators before but I'm having a go at the moment.

I see that Virtual Acorn allows physical CD and Floppy drives to be accessed via RISC-OS, is the same true of RPCEmu?

Thanks,
James

I think the floppy access only works in some situations, perhaps certain versions of Windows? I don't see the point. It is easy to make images of floppies or CDs, and they are an awful lot more convenient to use.

For me, it would be RPCEmu all the way. Not sure I would want to put £1 in the direction of certain businesses...

It should be able to access CDs. I went to go test it to be sure then realised I haven't had a computer with an optical drive in quite a few years. :D
