Cartridge / Pegasus 400 / AP4 DFS Height ?

Hey Guys, Sorry to bother you again, with a somewhat trivial request but let me explain first ! I'm building, or planning to build a sliding shelf for my Electron that fits under the MSX table. Kinda like a Keyboard shelf thats under your more modern computer desks. Now i've taken measurements of the Electron and from pictures I can surmise that the +1 and sloggers etc don't take up much extra height ! I actually have plenty of dept to add as many expansions as I could need but the height is the issue !!!! ESPECIALLY as I plan to have a Pegasus 400 or similar fitted in the cartridge port with a ribbon cable for the Disk Drive. So i need or am asking if you can measure how far the P 400 sticks out the top of the electron and then how much space the ribbon socket needs when fitted ! Im struggling for room and need every mm so please try to be accurate. Sorry for the hassle guys but i need a 'space for my electron as its currently perched on the edge of my desk in front of my MSX and its just untidy and awkward to use in its current cocation and i cant 'design' the 'shelf' without the measurements i need.

Could someone measure a Peg. cartridge and AP5 Cartridge when fitted into a Plus 1, please - Currently away from home.

Peg in the loft somewhere but

AP5: 10.1 cms (measured to clips on user ports in a vertical position)
GoSDC: 5.3cms

Thanks Its not going to fit anyway i try. The GoSDC might if i'm creative somehow :/ Wish they had designd these cards to have a lower profile. man they stick out a mile.

On the GoSDC the green bit is just a carrier so it fits in the Electron cartridge slot, the blue bit is the GoSDC. I guess you could create an angled carrier which would probably half the height. But not sure there is a huge market for it. So you might be doing that design yourself

Edit: Also so as not to block the other cartridge port you would need two designs, one for front and one for rear slots.

Ive found a photo of a Pegasus 400 and it looks like it might just fit. However until someone get into there loft to dig it out I'm going to just have to keep guessing However im thinking that i just could make a cable adapter so the cards don't actually plug into the slot at all, All id need is a male and female with some wire. It wouldnt be pretty but i could make it work.

Ohhh look at that loveliness. Is that a Pegasus 400 ? Awwww its like watching the obligatory hotie in a sitcom. You know shes just there to tease but she still tickles your fancy

Seriously though that looks like it just might fit after all. My only concern is that the securing arm/pins are not in the upright position so could be ? what 5 mm more ? Also the ruler is it resting on the top of the electron or do you have the start of its scale aligned with the top of the electron case ? So your getting an accurate reading ?

Yep, that’s the Pegasus 400 with an AP5 at the back. The ruler is sitting on top of the Plus 1. Height from the Plus 1 with the arms raised is about 6.5 cm’s. I would add another 0.5 cms to have some leeway bringing the height to 7 cms. I would show you it connected to a Gotek but that’s currently plugged into my Beeb. I must get a second Gotek so I don’t have to keep swapping it between devices.
