1MHz bus breakout boards

Post by dominicbeesley » Fri Feb 01, 2019 12:23 pm

I keep wanting to quickly breadboard stuff for the 1MHz bus - up until now I usually just poke dupont cables onto the pins of a female 1MHz bus header. Or dive straight in with a wiring pen. I've now thrown together a quick BOB.

No fanciness, no terminators, etc but good enough for quickie prototyping.

Any interest?

Will do, I need to test and price up first but glad there's interest. I was thinking about £5 each bare does that sound reasonable? That depending on FedEx no bowling me over with a ridiculous duty processing bill!

I've got 9 to spare, with Marcus that's 8 left...

That would help considerably with a project I am developing. Could I put my name down, please? [-o<

I've no immediate use for one, but it 's such a useful little thing, I'll put my name forward. (But willingly yield to any latecomers that really, really need one!)

Thanks all,

That's 5 so far.

Please, if you could all PM me addresses and I'll send out next week, give the people who check in from work a chance to see.

It's been useful already for messing with but I now find that the WizNet module I bought is not breadboard compatible so my current project is still going to involve a pile of duponts anyway!

@Kazzie, @MarcusJambler let me know your addresses by PM and I'll send you a Paypal link.

3 left...

Here it is doing its thing: A wiznet 5100 module (WIZ812MJ), a '138 and a GAL to decode addresses. The BOB helped get it going quickly...printing the wrong datasheet for the module didn't I had two LED outputs sent to ground which caused it to reset when it connected

After that and some headscratching over the mistranslations and mistakes in the datasheet I can send TCP from my beeb to my network....yay HostFS over the internet anyone?

Thanks for the fresh post: I'd seen the request for PM on my phone, and by the time I got back home to my laptop I'd forgotten which post I needed to pay attention to :/

PM now duly sent. Thanks again.
