Yeah, that's why it would be interesting to test it in the offending Beeb. To do so, you'd fit the hooky test eprom into a spare sideways rom socket, not the OS socket, and then run the *EEP16 SUM <id> command where <id> is the hex sideways rom slot id into which you have fitted the eprom.GadgetUK164 wrote:I CRC checked it in the EPROM programmer a few times, but not within the beeb. Anyway, to answer your question, EEP16 is a disc-based utility and you can get the ssd here. There's also some extra summary info about all the eeprom utilities at the link.
Note that EEP16 doesn't calculate a CRC, it uses the simpler Checksum-32 so see here for an earlier post I submitted on this very subject.
