The cocktail project...

Post by Multiwizard » Mon Feb 29, 2016 9:46 am

Hi,

at 20 December 2015 I received this:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10537#p127915

All kinds of hardware, software and documentation... :D

It also contained a malfunction Beeb without housing and PSU, and a unrepairable German Elk... :(

As you know I absolutely can't throw any Acorn things away I had to think of a useful solution, so I came up with this...

The Cocktail Project, it contains parts of a:

BBC Micro Model B (Issue 4)
Acorn Electron (German)
Commodore 64
Aristona CD player Model: CD1380
Beeb MMC (from Charlie)
Laptop
Document folder from the Action
Aluminium plate
double-sided tape
IKEA pencil

Because I use the Elk PSU on the Beeb motherboard, I tested it for over 2 hours, indeed it gets pretty warm but it survived, that's why I now use a little CPU fan of a laptop... 8)

Greetings, Wim... :-)

Wow! Thanks for sharing!

Great use of the Electron too, that will definitely silence those Stardot members that claim that only the key swithes are useful! [-X 8)

I wish it were [also] an Electron but am otherwise sufficiently jealous.
