RISCOS compatability?

Post by Bat » Wed Apr 25, 2018 11:23 am

HI,
My A9 Home has 4.42 select 32 installed and the two things I've tried to install won't work!
I've downloaded Spark FS and NetSurf this week and both tell me I've not got an app that loads a file of this type...
I have followed the suggestion and tried to open it from the folder, but I just get the same message...
Do I need to sack off 4.42 for 5.something or am I a piece missing?
Cheers,
Gavin :)

You need to bootstrap the system to allow you to read zips.
Try installing sparkplug, that should then allow you to install sparkfs and netsurf.

Hi,
Ian thanks for the help but the A9 has now fell out with the card reader which was the only thing I had that would work with it! :x :x :x :x #-o
There's no way to connect anything to it other than USB and it seems it doesn't like anything USB that you plug into it!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Hi,
Ian, it installs fine it just won't work when I click it!
Card reader played nicely so spark plug installed.
Do I need to unzip these things in RISC as I unzipped them onto the card....?
EDIT: It's telling me spark plug is 26bit not 32!
Cheers,
Gavin :)
