Rhapsody4 32bit crashes on Raspberry Pi... Any ideas?

Post by Paul » Fri Jul 29, 2016 1:35 pm

Hello!

After getting a CDROM drive to access my new ebay purchase of Rhapsody4... it installed fine, I selected the 32bit version, but it crashes as follows:

1. A sprite file in !Voices appears to be corrupt or incompatible.. (I renamed this to stop it crashing the system).

But more unusefully:

2. !Rhapsody4 crashes with an Error "Error 8611: Internal error: abort on Data Transfer at &FC1A8CD4"

I thought I had installed a pre-zero pain RISC OS, but I'm wondering now if I havent and if this is the fault? As it says it is 32bit compatible...

Hmm.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Cheers,

Paul.

What model of Pi? The Pi 1 was more compatible with old software than the Pi 2, which was more compatible than the Pi 3 :-(

And IIRC the Pi 1 could be in two modes, one more suitable to old software than the other.

It won't help much but isn't it typically a question people on the ROOL forum should be able to answer or provide some help for ?
