James, I have provisionally put you down as a reserve, because we already have a full allocation of no kitters. I’m sorry about this, but we have to limit the numbers as the room can only take so many retro enthusiasts...
If the room is not too crowded, you are welcome to come in and join the group. And in any event, you can chat in the public area and visit the rest of the museum.
Hi Mark.

This is no problem. I haven't moved any holidays around at work yet, just in case, so we will proceed with our visit at the end of May. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi James. Of course, currently we still have two free full tables, and as I have said above, we may change this to be more flexible. So Please do keep this in mind. So if you are interested in coming along, we will do our best to try to fit you in.

You could stand by the door an entice us with chocolate to come out.

Hi Mark.

Thanks. I really do appreciate you trying to accommodate me (and others) but please, don't make any unnecessary changes on my account. If I had anything of interest to demonstrate I'd book a table :D (maybe next year). My thoughts were along the lines of coming along to meet some of the people on here who have been so helpful to me over the last few months (yourself included).

It's no bother for me to re-organise our little trip either way. I can bring plenty of chocolate if necessary :D

Thanks again
James

Hi.

Since there are still a couple of full tables spare, could I upgrade from a half table? Happy to go back if someone wants it, but I could use the space for the kit if available, and i waited to see if it was snapped up before asking..

Cheers, Paul.

Hey Mark.

Just to let you know we have decided to move our trip to this date regardless, so if you can fit me in, that would be great, but don't worry if not, we had planned a visit anyway, to CCH, TNMOC & Bletchley Park, and Cambridge, so we have a busy schedule planned :D

As feared, I can only attend on the Saturday. However trains back to London run until late so I will be able to stay on for dinner before heading off :-)

Important note:

There is now ONLY ONE place remaining. This is for one half-table.

If you want to come along, to avoid disappointment, make up you mind quickly and post here before this last place gets filled.

Will there be anybody bringing an Econetted Atom? I've got a list of bugs with Atom support for SoftMDFS, so it would be useful to have some live systems available for testing.

I'lll bring at least one. I plan to either get the Atom software archive running on Econet and bring it with me, or bring all the bits and try and assemble it at the event.

Just booked my flights and Hotel. My flight will arrive Friday morning and return Sunday evening. I am still in the process of trying to figure out public tranportation between Stansted and Cambridge.
I am looking forward to beeing there. Thanks for having me :D

There is a direct frequent train service from Stanstead to Cambridge (journey time about 33 minutes).
There is so much wonder in the universe; why should you want to imagine that there is more?

When I lived in Stansted I used to cycle it. Okay twice, and over 15 years ago, and I couldn’t walk for a week afterwards.

Someone might also be going past the airport. I will be but at the wrong times and a car full of people and stuff, so not much help.

BTW there's a great resource for UK train travel here:
https://traintimes.org.uk/SSD/cambridge ... 2019-06-28
and bear in mind that ticket prices can vary according to time of travel, and advance tickets can be much cheaper than tickets bought on the day of travel.

Also there is a couple of buses from the Airport to Cambridge. I have only used them as cheap way (i.e. no need to pay for car park) to get from Stansted Airport to Heathrow.

A longer version of something done elsewhere.

Picture quality gets worse as I got more bored. Afraid you have to watch it till at least half way to see the relevance to this thread.

I believe the demosceners refer to this type of thing as an "invitational". :D

(Although you kind of have to provide an executable for it to count.)
