Getting a image on to BBC

Post by andrewvideo » Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:53 am

I am looking for a easy was to get a picture to load on Screeen on the BBC.
The plan is to auto boot the disc and show the picture.

I can open disc images on my BBC using MMC or GoTek Floppy Drive so thats my path of getting on the BBC. I know little of basic programming like printing hello world lol.

I am doing a Retro gaming night for a some young people with disabilities and would be nice to have the image on screen while they coming in and when i do a short talk about the BBC Miro.

This the file I want to display on the screeen. I made with 3 colors Black,White and Green. Res. 320x256 ( Might be to big ) base on Mode 1

There's also BMP and GIF conversion programs at http://mdfs.net/Apps/Graphics/Conversion/

Code: Select all

Only got it to work on in the BBC B+ Mode. Does't really matter I just rember to switch to OS on the night.

Going to play around it. Going to Learn how to use VDU19. Tried to load a other image and colors don't match.

Trying using the Gallary disk so I can load more pictures.

Thank you.

Try changing line 40 in the LOADER program to:

40*LOAD PHABGAM FFFF3000

or disable the Pi co-processor with:

*FX151,230,14

If you're going to be playing games you will probably need to disable the co-pro anyway.
Most games won't run properly with the Tube active.
