Copy tape images on the BBC

Post by andrewvideo » Wed Apr 10, 2019 11:19 am

Is any software I can copy tape images (UEF) on the BBC to tape. I don't have any games on tape. I want to show a young disabled youth club how we used to load games and how slow its was.

I was playing to copy the images on to disc then some how save them to tape on the BBC.

Can anyone Help?

One way to get a UEF onto a physical cassette tape (or alternatively straight into a Beeb) -- though I haven't tried it myself -- might be to make use of the following website, whose author, 8bitkick, is a member of Stardot:
For other ideas, see the following Stardot thread (and search for other threads on Stardot generally):

All Depends on what you want to copy, some are not that easy with all there copy protection.

Andrew - if you want to PM me your address, I’ll post you an original tape FoC for your youth club demo. You can keep the tape for future use, no need to return it.

Thank you so much.. The Young people at Sheffield PHAB will be very appreciated. That well save me some time. I will PM my address.

Next to find a some kind of interactive board for people have very little movement. I do keep looking on eBay.

I Might make a simple button so when press it do a very basic program with sounds and animation. Got until end of may to do it. I can remember using the user port in basic was quite easy.

Could an admin check that Andrew has PM's enabled please - I notice that he's only just reached 25 posts and I don't know if the enabling happens automatically or not? Ta.

Ok Andrew, I’ll try and get a couple in the post tomorrow, I want to check-load them first so you know they’re good in case you have any loading ‘issues’ and in which case, you’ll know it’s your kit......

You are most welcome Andrew - my very small contribution to your generous efforts with the youth club 8)

The two tapes aren't particularly about the games themselves but, as you wanted, are good to show the tape loading tedium. Paper Boy is particularly convoluted and whilst colourful, takes a significant time to load.
