He-Man music demo
He-Man music demo
Hi,
A while ago I made a BBC Micro cover of the He-Man theme music, and a little graphics demo which draws a picture of He-Man on the screen. It's been sitting on my hard disk, and I thought I might as well post it here.
There's a recording of it on youtube:

Very nice! Will Thundercats be next?
Re: He-Man music demo
Yes!
"Thundercats are on the move,
Thundercats are loose!"
(Da da dada!)
Going to have a lie down now...

Love it, it takes me hours to make a beep sound right!
Re: He-Man music demo
cool stuff, how do you go about composing music/fx on the beeb?
Re: He-Man music demo
Ditto, this sounds great! Did you compose on the Beeb directly or on a PC tracker? Still wondering if there is interest / mileage in a simple BBC tracker music program that works with SN chip data directly.

I'd like one, but not saying i'd do anything productive with itkieranhj wrote:Ditto, this sounds great! Did you compose on the Beeb directly or on a PC tracker? Still wondering if there is interest / mileage in a simple BBC tracker music program that works with SN chip data directly.

Thanks everyone, glad you liked it.

I first made the tune using Modplug tracker on my PC for convenience, and then once I had the notes all sounding right, I transcribed it into the BBC computer.kieranhj wrote:Ditto, this sounds great! Did you compose on the Beeb directly or on a PC tracker?
A tracker for the BBC would be really cool, but I'm not sure I'd use it much myself since I tend to find trackers (that I'm not used to, that is) tricky to learn how to use - they usually seem to require learning loads of keyboard shortcuts and I can never remember them, and stuff like that. I can manage Modplug tracker at least since it's pretty intuitive and mouse oriented.Still wondering if there is interest / mileage in a simple BBC tracker music program that works with SN chip data directly.

Re: He-Man music demo
Simple but very effective. A great cartoon graphic.
And only done in BASIC. Glides like a machine.

Re: He-Man music demo
Nice! Great to see and hear fresh things, and that's a neat little BASIC proggy to drive it too!

Re: He-Man music demo
What's interesting about this (I have only just looked at the video) is it sounds like an Atari ST. Written in BASIC?
