Create SSD on PC

Post by archie456 » Sun Dec 01, 2019 5:50 pm

Can anyone recommend some Windows 10 software for creating an SSD file and adding files to it?

I've seen some references to software on this forum, but most of it is very old...

Is there anything new around?

Nothing new. DFS Explorer is probably the most usable. We were discussing at abug what's actually missing from the armada of useful pc-side utilities, and we decided that a fully featured open-source disk image manipulation tool was probably the one thing we're really lacking.

I use DFS Explorer:

It's Shareware and costs £5 per installation.

There's also ADFS Explorer - I find this very useful as it also works with hard drive images.

If I pulled my finger out and finished it, Disc Image Reader would do the job. Once Chrimbo is over, I'm hoping to get back to it. Oh, and it's open source too. ... =DiscImage
