Differences between AKF50 and AKF52

Post by Zarchos » Fri Jun 16, 2017 8:51 am

Both are multiscan monitors and can display up to 800x600, but what makes the AKF52 a superior monitor ?

I found this online on a manual:

Acorn AKF52 Medium Resolution SVGA 14" Dot pitch 0.42

Acorn AKF50 High Resolution SVGA 14" Dot pitch 0.28

Ah ok then it is the pitch.
I couldn't find anything about a better resolution for the AKF52.

Thanks for the info.

I have just fixed an AKF50 received from Germany.
Strange beast.
Switch on / off is reversed.
Ugly fix inside on a small daughterboard with lots of wires to go to various places on the motherboard.
This daughterboard was held in place by one of its pins behind soldered to the motherboard, but since this soldering was 'in the air' to cover about 4 millimeters, which is far too much, I simply bent this pin to be in contact with the motherboard and did a proper solder.
Not surprising it had broken during its journey to my Acorn site #1.
Resoldered some other wires too because it was poorly executed.
