Hello from Spain!

Post by race8086 » Fri Dec 27, 2019 1:14 pm

Hi all! :D
my name is Ramón, I'm a Spanish guy, retro collector and retro developer. Since 1983 that I purchased a ZXSpectrum ( actually it works yet!), my love to retro never has ended.

I've had several units of Sinclair, Commodore, Dragon, Tandy and of course, Acorn computers. My love for 6502 systems began in the university when I played an AIM-65.

Mainly interested in software development ( assembly/basic) in this retro platforms, nowadays I'm trying to set up a Pi-tube interface.
For this reason, I reached this forum, finding helpful information.
I'm trying to build the breadboard version. Hope to finish successfully the project! As much as I dig into this Platform, more ways to fun I found!

Thank you for accepting me in this forum, I hope to humbly contribute to the best of my ability.

Welcome Ramón! Enjoy this forum :D
I'm a 6502 coder myself, mainly on my Acorn Electron but I also have BBC Micro, Master 128, C64, Speccy and so on.

6502 was the first assembly language I learned and is still probably my favourite (although one day I'll have a go at ARM assembler, because why not? and that might take its crown). Z80 assembly seems to plod along, lifting one foot at a time; but 6502 assembly seems to canter!

Welcome, have you looked at Retro Software (our sister site), particularly DevTools|beebasm.
It works quite like the BBC BASIC assembler, but is much more powerful, the latest version is in github.
It will make binaries, or even .ssd (disc images ready for an emulator or to copy to disc) and can also tokenize BBC BASIC.
