Back to BASIC

Post by CJPJ » Sun Jul 29, 2018 9:17 pm

Hi all

I've just purchased a used BBC Micro B (along with Floppy, Cassette and Microvitec CUB) - just like I used to have 30+ odd years ago. At the age of 45 I thought I would re-live my fond memories on this wonderful computer, playing the old games and hacking around with some BASIC programming.

I stumbled across this site a while back and have been lurking - I can see you are a friendly bunch and I would love to be part of the gang! I might also need some help as I've already discovered a few issues I'm not sure I can fix on my own

It seemed much less intimidating as a care-free and fearless teenager - when did life get so complicated??!

To answer your question - when you got older. The secret is to never grow up!

Welcome to the stardot community, the great thing about tinkering with old kit is there are lots of new ways to make it a bit easier and there's no real time limit so plenty of time to relearn all the old tricks and a few new ones.
