Hello fellow Acorn users

Post by guardian1128 » Wed May 30, 2018 11:09 am

Hi

Fairly new to this site, just not said Hi on here yet.
Started with the Acorn Electron back in 1984 but lost the machine in 1993 when someone borrowed it and decided to move without giving it back.
Picked up a few from ebay recently including a slogger 64k / turbo modded version and a plus one adapter ( still on the lookout for a plus 3 without getting outbid at the last second, lol ) , have a couple of BBC micros which i'm trying to fix to make a full working one along with the disk drive and games i've aquired.

Looking to maximise on the experience so looking forward to getting plenty of help from you guys and make the most out of my machines, :D :D

Welcome from a fellow Electron user. :D

Sorry to hear about your original Electron, though it seems you have more than made up for losing it in recent years. :)

Welcome

As someone who's also getting back into things after a few decades away I've found this forum, and especially the people on it, extremely helpful.

For the same cost as a few beers and a bit of soldering I now have MicroSD storage on my Master Compact, hundreds of games, and can telnet into BBS sites over wifi. It's wonderful to see all this continual development.

Best of luck with your restorations and eBay bidding.
