Hi from London

Post by fizzyade » Fri May 25, 2018 2:46 pm

HI,

Long time lurker and thought it was time I created an account. Use the enthusiasts facebook group and have decided to get back into some retro computing recently.

Software engineer by day, I owe my whole programming career to Acorn because they were the machines I first learned to program on and where I fell in love with the art of development.

These days I write embedded software and also some desktop software (written in Qt).

In my current collection I have an Electron, BBC B, BBC Master, A3000, Risc PC. The A3000 and Risc PC need rescuing from my parents loft and I'm afraid that they're going to have suffered battery damage, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

A hearty welcome to the forum! Are you planning to put any of those software development skills to use in an 8 or 32-bit capacity?

I wouldn't have thought that radar installations were hard to find  Seriously though, that sounds interesting. We (imagination technologies) do IP for GPU/vision/ai, although I am most interested in the gpu side.

Haha, these are tiny (24Ghz) radar systems for detecting vehicles, people etc.
