Hi

Post by RonBate » Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:37 am

My name is Ron Bate and I recently joined this forum and am making my first post. I was an IT teacher and built an Atom for the school. The school went through the usual route of BBC Model A and B, Archimedes (mostly A4000s) and then PCs.

I had a BBC Model B back in the day and bought many games for it. I particularly enjoyed games such as Citadel which I eventually completed. One such was Infinity by White Panther which I made very little progress with at the time. I couldn't believe my luck when coming across BeebEm and then the excellent STH website where I found a playable version of Infinity. After ploughing through numerous threads on this forum regarding and the excellent Maps provided by Bill Carr both here and on STH I have now been playing this game for weeks and managed to get nearly half-way through the first level - at least the top progress bar is nearly full! But then there's the lower one to do as well!! Now I'm stuck and run out of ideas so need help from anybody who's has managed to complete the first level. Does a walkthrough exist or does anyone have a good memory of the game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Ron

Why do I keep collecting Acorn gear? I'm going to need a considerably bigger man-cave. :?

Welcome Ron.
I'm afraid I can't help with Infinity but why not open a thread in the Classic Games section of the forum and give a description of the game and where you are in it. Perhaps include links to maps etc you've found and maybe some of us will join in trying to beat it.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. I've made a little more progress with Infinity Level 1 but still a long way to go. Will open a thread as suggested shortly - perhaps a team effort is needed to complete this puzzling game!
