TFH - a Introduction

Post by TFHfony » Mon Sep 04, 2017 3:25 pm

Hi,

I ended up here, as I say some entries in the log of my website from this thread: http://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewto ... 45&t=13666
I am Arnaud de Klerk, 43 years of age and come from the Netherlands. I have owned various MSX(2) & Amiga computers and run a website where you can find:

* The stuff I made, while I was part of the group FONY: http://www.file-hunter.com/FONY/
* And a bunch of MSX classics you can play online in your browser: http://www.file-hunter.com/MSX/

Some 25+ years later, I am married, have a daughter, and sell industrial components/computers for a living and still have an interest in old computers. Thanks to emulators, I've also been able to play around with the C64, ZX Spectrum and now it's time to have a look at the Acorn family :)
I've already been supplied with this list is games: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8259&p=144234#p144234, but feel free to let me know if there are any other classic things I should take a look at!

Welcome! :D

As I said in the other thread, we don't hear much about the MSX here - or maybe we do and I was not paying attention. :) My impression is that it's an under-appreciated system in the UK, at least, because it arrived late to the market. Perhaps readers in other countries know more about it. I've watched some videos of MSX games recorded by Electric Adventures on his channel on YouTube and it seems like another 8-bit system whose fans turn out games much faster than us few Acorn users. :)

With a website of your own that lets users play MSX games, you will probably find the Complete BBC Games Archive interesting.

Welcome. :D

Why do I keep collecting Acorn gear? I'm going to need a considerably bigger man-cave. :?

Welcome,
Are you more interested in the 8bit side (as you will see from my signature, I am) or the Archimedes, which I think also didn't got as much attention around the world as it deserved, although, I guess it's processor has
