Greeting

Post by Symo » Thu Dec 06, 2018 2:20 pm

Hi all!

I'm responsible for the game Citadel 2 which appeared on I think the last PIAS compilation from Superior (more details on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citadel_2). Nowadays I code in c#, make music (https://soundcloud.com/symo) and work on games in Unity in my spare time (currently working on a conversion of The Sentinel, but have played around with an Exile conversion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eDtmh7dU-Q) + Citadel 2 of course :))

Welcome, this Citadel 2 http://www.bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=1265
"Possibly the last game commercially released for the BBC micro before the return of commercially available "retro" titles in the late 90s and early 2000s."

Welcome to the forum!

I knew about Citadel 2, but I don't think I'd ever actually played it. Just had a go and I'm impressed! :D

Welcome! :D

I'll have to check out your recent music. I found a couple of your old tracks on my hard disk from years ago... :)

Welcome Symo! I just picked up an old copy of Play It Again Sam 18 and there's Citadel 2 :-) Wasn't this the last serious game release BITD? A real bit of history.

I've also fiddled around with Exile remakes (an in-browser multi-player Exile robot game for my kids) so one day maybe we should get a team together and do it properly...

Cheers
Chris

Welcome to the forum.

You may want to think about coming to the next ABUG (18 to 20 January). Details here. It's about an hour's drive from St Albans.
There is so much wonder in the universe; why should you want to imagine that there is more?
