Ah yeah, so the chance it has 4MB (as per 440) is quite low. Not clear enough photos to be completely sure it doesn't have an upgrade board, but wouldn't seem especially likely. It's a 310 with the wrong sticker on it. I don't even think that user guide is the correct era. Fairly sure it won't sell at that stupid price anyway.IanS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:44 pmHmm, very fishy, if it was an A440 it would have two BNC's on the back, that's an A3xx board.IanJeffray wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 6:02 pm£600 for a basic A440. I wasn't aware the 440 was ever sold without a winchester controller on the board, nevermind dual floppy. Something doesn't smell quite right there. Certainly wasn't sold with that mouse.

It also looks like an IFEL backplane, didn't all A4xx machines come with backplanes?IanJeffray wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 9:05 pmAh yeah, so the chance it has 4MB (as per 440) is quite low. Yep, exactly that - no high res video circuitry or HDD interface. That’s an A310 PCB running RISC OS 2 in an A310 box with an A310 keyboard, and an A440 badge...IanS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:44 pmHmm, very fishy, if it was an A440 it would have two BNC's on the back, that's an A3xx board.IanJeffray wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 6:02 pm£600 for a basic A440. Re: LOLPRICE
The listing has now been updated to say A310. The serial numbers are now in the photos - 27-AKB15-1010512, so that makes it an early A310 I think - woo!steve3000 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 9:32 pmYep, exactly that - no high res video circuitry or HDD interface. Acorn SCSI card just went for £132
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324341976999
I know that they are one of the few SCSI podules that work with Risc iX but is that really what they are worth ? Am I being naive or tight ?

Re: LOLPRICE
Just means that someone with deep pockets wants to try running Risc iX, will do it once, complain they can't get it to work properly, give up and move on and the SCSI card will sit on a shelf forevermoreMarvin wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 7:52 pmAcorn SCSI card just went for £132![]()
