My Wife

Post by KarateEd » Mon Apr 02, 2018 5:21 am

Dear friends,

The last 2 days have been hell for me and my family. I took my wife into the hospital yeasterday and 6:30 PM my time today, she passed on.

She was quite ill but this was not expected.

I won't probably be around much over the next couple weeks so if you have the inclination, would you please say prayers for my wife if you're able? Her name is Alison..... and her roots are British.

Thank you so much, I consider each and every one of you friends, though I've not met any of you...... yet.

Ed......

My deepest sincere condolences Ed to you and your family for the loss of your wife Alison.

I hope you have other family around that will be there in your time of need.

We will all of course be sending prayers and well wishes and hope you are able to take what ever time you need to get through this difficult time.

Will be raising a toast this evening to say a small farewell.

Take care Ed, hope to see you back sometime soon.

There are not really any words that will help at a time like this. So sorry to hear the news about your wife, Alison.
My father died two years ago, and although we were expecting it, it still was a shock. We still very much miss him.

It will be a very sad time for you over the coming weeks. I do hope you have some friends and family who you can turn to for help.

As this is a big change in your life, everyone understands that you may not want to post here for some time. Don't worry about that. Just come back if and when you are ready.

Meanwhile there will be lots of members of StarDot that are thinking of you.

Mark

Ed . . .

So, so sorry to hear the news of your wife. I can't imagine what you must be going through. Please accept mine and Mrs H's sincere condolences.

My Dear Old Dad passed this last February the 16th - just a few months from his 95th birthday. Very aggressive cancer and very slow NHS! But to lose your wife . . . Just unimaginable. I'm sure your family will be near for comfort.

Best wishes - Dave H . . .

Hi All,

Once again I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks for your kind sentiments. This is very tough Dave, unimaginable but I knew it was more than 50-50 my darling would leave this earth before me. Having said that, it's going to be a bit like AA where it's a step at a time until I can get back to living again. I think it's going to be a while but everyone's wishes are most kindly received.

Thank you all again,

Ed

What can I say that hasn't already been said before.

So sorry to hear your sad news.

Time is a great healer, so you have to take as much of it to grieve as you need, and hopefully family and friends are around you when you need them most.

Having held my son in my arms at 6 months old while he passed away, I know how sad such things are, and now, over 9 and a half years later, the memory of the day is as fresh in my mind as it ever was, but as the years go by the pain lessens and now I can talk about it with less sadness each time.

Take care of yourself,

Simon
