Is there a slideshow program for the beeb which could display a selection of these wonders? Maybe mode 7 and not mode 7 as two disks??

Quite early on when there were barely enough for one floppy full I converted them to a compressed format (using a program called SVPIC) and wrote a small program to play them back with a slideshow. It's probably within one of the first five pages in the thread.

A few posts later on the disk image was corrected due to me using an older copy of the decompression software.
I'm writing a game where you can change your character from a Wizard to a monkey to a cat.

Well, Imogen that!

Just found it for you at the top of page 7:

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13294&start=180#p195643

This reminds me, I never did edit the floppy image on that page to change the version of LDPIC.

It's always so interesting to try a Mode 7 version of a picture. The limitations are very interesting how to interpret the scene with less of everything :D

Hi There,
I Love your mode7 stuff - could you post edit.tf links for them so I could transfer them to a real BBC?
Also that VR gallery program looks awesome - the perfect blend of modern technology meets old school! - my VIVE is ready and waiting to test that!

OK I'll see what I can do. It's a bit all over the place with different programs I use e.t.c
I've been using Slippery Slug Movie maker quite a lot and pixel ling on the keyboard. It takes all day to draw a diagonal!

I've been meaning to go back to the VR. Trouble is it takes so much time!
I'd like to see a Mode 2 and 7 world of VR....

Really want I need to do is set up all the framework then I can just drop pictures into it - like a content management system.
I need to find someone expert at VR and Unity....

I'd also like to find someone willing to take on a teletext art program. Everything out there is a bit basic......I really want to be able to draw with an AMX mouse and save frames as well as shapes. Fourthstone has done wonders but he never has any free time helping me all weekend - he needs a life!

So if there's anyone out there who might be up for making a native BBC micro teletext paint program - even a basic program - please holla! Edit TF is very limited and no shapes e.t.c

Have you tried Watford's TED? Don't think it supports the mouse but it's supposed to be the best teletext editor out there. It's a 32K banked ROM so is currently only emulated in MAME.

Oh wow Ted looks really good. I've downloaded it (as an SSD) and Mame but been here for an hour trying to work how to run it in Mame?
Sorry to ask.........I'm really stuck!

Just to say we will sort this out on own own- if I am not careful I will derail the Acorn Art Thread which is meant for pictures not technical help! Sorry everyone I didn't think

I thought I'd post this as a once off - it's not Acorn (so please forgive me for today ) but I did 3 variations of this pic this weekend as an experiment.........Mode 2, Mode 7 - and 3d.
I am trying to work out which I like most. I think the teletext because you can use your imagination more when things are missing.
