Obscure little handheld (Melody Alarm)

Post by Sampull-MC » Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:15 pm

Right... Since lockdown has given me free time, I found a little handheld game&watch type console in a cupboard and thought i'd restore it to working condition (since I collect such things)
However, while it does "work", i'm missing the little battery door on the back, so the connection is intermittent if i'm not holding it.. LR44 button cell push'n'twist type door.
I have consulted Google and eBay, but without a maker/company name, i'm a bit screwed. :?

Anyone recognise it?

About 4x3 inch. Seems to be tennis. Buttons are "Move Left" "Start" "Game 1 or 2" and "Move Right"

Any information appreciated.

It looks like it's by Melody Alarm Games:

If you do a Google image search for them, you'll find photos of handhelds that look very similar (although not identical) to yours.

Thanks! I forgot Google had an image search. Definitely looks similar to Melody Alarm. I'll have a poke about.
