WILT. by Colin Harrison, (1984) Longman Micro Software, for BBC.B

it was quite a simple game but then how complicated can hangman get, it had nice graphics and sound effects and would be perfect for children to play.
Instead of the hangmans pole you had a big sunflower that wilted when you got a letter wrong and got watered when you got a letter right.

i only ever saw it in the school computer room

I don't remember that one but I do remember FunnyMan on the Early Learning cassette.

I transferred it to an ssd here and fixed it so it works on DFS. The program is in basic and the manual (which I need to scan) actively encourages you to add your own words via DATA statements...

Also, no "hanging" in site so it's very child friendly.

I remember this one, played it quite a lot as a kid as I recall. :) I seem to remember you could grow different coloured flowers as well?

Didn't see this the first time around... thought "Wilt" sounded familiar, so I just checked and found the A4 folder containing this disk.

Will image it ASAP, subject to it being readable! (although Longman disks are usually reliable) :)

You sir are a true living legend, that's the one alright, many many many thanks.

In the computer room at school all the bbc's either had this game or monsters running, apart from when they were being taught with that is.

God the memories \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

=D> Thankyou again =D>
