Box Pushing game

Post by Treborwall »

Hi

I wrote a box pushing game a long time ago.

I think John Major rearranged the cabinet at the time hence 'Cabinet Shuffle' and the boxes looking like filing cabinets.

Looking at the timers in the game, I was much quicker when I wrote it!

Hope you like it

This is a great little game! I'm clearly too slow myself, as I ran out of time on level 2 while trying to figure out the optimal route

I had a quick scan of the files, too - did you write the entire thing in BASIC or did you use any in-line assembler? It plays really well!

Hi

Glad you like the game. To make it easier in the game press escape and then enter the line

175Dead%=FALSE

It's written entirely in BASIC as it was intended as a listing for a magazine. For some reason the header file loads the screen maps into memory rather than using BASIC DATA statements in the main program. Which might look like machine code but its just the screen maps.

It's really good, well done =D>

Reminds me of Sokoban which I played obsessively BITD.

Yeah that's a fun little game!

It's very much like Sokoban except in this the cabinets disappear when you fill them, so that's quite an interesting dynamic :)

Sokoban has now been added as a genre on bbcmicro.co.uk.
Can anyone think if any more sokoban type games that I have missed?
