Elk Elite Keyboard Strip

Hi all. I wish to introduce a friend to the wonderful game Elite. Can someone please upload a scan of the keyboard strip and controls from the manual. Also is it possible to toggle the Y-axis and use a joystick like the Beeb version ?

don't think the elk had a keystrip for 'Fkeys' as it does not have them... well not 100% true, as need CTRL #0-9

plus no keystrip holder!

have the original box etc from BITD, no keystrip, just shown in the booklet if I mind rightly....

I couldn't find the keystrip from the elk version (I can't remember if it had one or not) but the manual and novella etc are available on the Ian Bell website along with quite a few other bits : http://www.elitehomepage.org/archive/index.htm

Of course there was a keystrip for the function keys. You needed to press “function” with the number key. I spent many hours, days, months playing it on the Electron. The packaging was the best of all the software I had for the Electron. Unfortunately I sold all my original Electron stuff for a 286 PC. What a mistake!

The function keys are the same between the BBC and Electron versions of Elite. Either keystripe will do. http://8bs.com/othrdnld/manuals/fkey/EliteFKstrip.zip
