How many versions of Frogger were there?

Post by fwibbler »

Hi,

Since we now have Trickys excellent version of Frogger, I started having a look at all the previous versions of it for the Beeb.
I have the following versions:
The Frog - Software for All
Leapfrog - Model B Computing
Hedgehog - Beebug/Elbug (not quite a frogger game but...)
Froglet - Argus Press Software
Freeway Frog - Your Computer
Croakit - Keiran software
Frogger - A&F software
Leapfrog - IJK
Froggy - JSD software
Croaker - Micropower
Froggy - Superior Software
Hopper - Acornsoft

Question is: Are there any others?
I'd like to try them all if possible.

Cheers!

I have a vague recollection of a type in, but that's all
Are you planning a comparison video for YouTube?

Sort of although I won't be doing a boring voiceover or commentary.
Just sort of show them each being played (and how bad I am at playing some of them!)
I dont like to slag off other peoples efforts since I can't really program myself, but some of them are stratospherically awful!
Cheers!

When setting up bbcmicro.co.uk, Paul used the metadata from my bbc games spreadsheet.
I had a field for any game that reminded me of an arcade game.
So, a good side effect is is you just type any arcade game into the search box, E.g. "Frogger" or "Defender" it will bring up any game that I deemed to be similar.

Lee.

P.S. you say "Keiran" software. We have "Kerian" software on bbcmicro.co.uk
Mental note to check which one is correct.....

Nice, but you cut the crock a bit close ;)

You can see how someone did something in a post by clicking the quote button, which then shows you the source.
