I'm currently having a play on Elite.
Going through the in built palettes :D

Favourite so far is REVS :D

That looks good.

I had a modified version of Nick Jameson's Beeb3D demo running at Wakefield to show off some Elite ships in solid 3D with enhanced palettes:

They obviously look better when they're spinning!

Given more time, I'd like to try writing a 16-colour mode 2 version for the Pi co-pro.

Yeah I saw that... very impressive.
Are they 'lit' and shaded or a mix of colours?

There's no lighting going on - Nick's code uses mode 5 so there aren't enough colours available to shade each face separately. If I could get it running in mode 2 then it would be doable.

I'd love to do this but all the magic is done in Nick's code - it's seriously impressive. I just added some code to set the a different NuLA palette for each model. Maybe it would be possible to do something with the Pi Co-pro :D

I've attached the SSD - menu option 2 launches the NuLA-aware demo.

Think I'd be inclined to change the cyan for white in (Master/Tube) Elite, not too keen on the cyan.
