Help Wanted For New Book!

Hi All,

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this and admins feel free to move this if it is, but I am looking for some help from this wonderful community with a new book I am writing.

The book is called 8-Bit on a Budget - Home computing's best pocket money purchases and will be published by Unbound (who did the recent Ashens books) in a hardback coffee table style format. The book will be covering original budget games released in the 80s for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit, MSX and, of course, the BBC Micro!

I am no stranger to the BBC and you might be familiar with some of my work for Retro Gamer magazine where I wrote the From The Archives articles on Audiogenic, Lore Design and Top Ten Software/Go Dax (who all did BBC Games) as well as the Acorn Archimedes Minority Report.

So this is where you come in! I already have a list of games that I am going to cover in this first book (a follow up is likely) and desperately need some high quality scans of the covers/inlays to the tape versions. You would of course get a credit in the book for helping me out.

These are the games I need so far:

Cavey (Players)
Killapede (Players)
Crazy Er*bert (Alternative)
Hobgoblin (Atlantis)
Challenger (Mastertronic)
Hercules (Power House)
Vegas Jackpot (Mastertronic)
Warehouse (Top Ten)
Diamond Mine 2 (Blue Ribbon)
Monkey Nuts (Bug Byte)

It's likely I will need more but this would be a good start!

Your best bet is something like everygamegoing.com (which i think belongs to a stardot member, dave ?)

for example:-

monkey nuts has a good tape scan

edit, i think it's got what you want

etc.
etc.

I never knew of that place and it didn't show up on my Google searches!

Very useful thanks!
