Re: Atom-to-Pi project progress

Disc emulation is fixed. I removed all the noise emulation but in the seek noise there is a variable fdctime set to 200. I also removed that, so the seek8271 function never got a ready state. Afer fixing that, I could load and start Repton. image.jpg Unfortunately it is not very playable. Graphics i...

Re: BBC Basic

Hi Dave, Afaik there are two versions of the bbc mos rom for the atom. One is of course the original by Acorn and the other one is an improved version by Ronald Boers ( http://www.acornatom.nl/atom_nieuws/1985/nr5/19855008.htm ). He has made several improvements and fixed bugs. I don't think there i...

The dog, we call her Misty, isn't indeed very happy with hos pc's. That's why I am selling them, but even for €25,00 for both computers, nobody wants them.

Re: Decent wall shelves

I have very good experience with seperated brackets; I don't know if they are available in your region. These are wall mounted rails where you can mount the bracket at various heights. Brackets are from 15 to 50 cm. Just make sure your wall can carry the weight. Usually a wall made of stone can hand...

Re: Atom - identifying a few boards/ mods

Hi Iain, >> R16 moet worden weggelaten als er geen oplaadbare accu wordt gebruikt. Means: R16 should be left out if you do not use rechargeable batteries. So you can use normal batteries. I never noticed before that big benny needed the batteries to run, even when the atom is powered on. But if the ...

Re: Atom-to-Pi project progress

Another update, graphics modes are now also working, in both b/w and colour mode. A small problem occurred, the mechanical construction is lousy. A few keys have stopped working, some time later they worked again and now they do not. I have to use my poor mechanical construction knowledge.... And I ...

Re: Atom-to-Pi project progress

Small update: the BREAK key now works also. If I pressed it, the 8255 was reset so the Atomulator couldn't access the 8255 in the right way. Now, before an 6502 instruction is executed, it polls the GPIO pin which is connected to the reset pin of the 8255 and if break is pressed the program counter ...

Re: Atom - identifying a few boards/ mods

PCHARM is well known, but the other two look to be customized versions of the standard OS, BASIC and FP ROMS. Might be interesting to upload these, and compare them with the originals. Dave Mostly we made modifications in the reset routine at #FF3F to invoke DOS after a reset and initialize other s...

Re: Atom - identifying a few boards/ mods

You're right, it's a 4364. Luckily it's compatible wih the 6264.

I loaded a recated version of bbc basic into ram and ran a new mosrom on my Atom-in-pc board. The basic was loaded a #C000 and the mosrom at #1000. Leaving 2000 - 7FFF for basic programs.

Well, if you can do that ... just a box with the right sizes. For the price indication you can omit the ridges on the top and front of the case.
