Re: AWFS (Advanced Wifi Filing System

Thanks Jonathan, I just had a quick look at it and I think RAMFS is the best starting point.

Yes, I know about the shift key. I am just horrible at games. I almost never pass level 3 of Snapper. But I almost always win from the computer when I play reversi (at easiest level)

Re: AWFS (Advanced Wifi Filing System

Welll, I searched for the Plus3 manual since I expect that to be the most used format for the Electron. But if there are also sources for DFS available, I can do DFS. I looked at the sources of MMFS but afaik that works with one beeb.mmb file which contains the ssd images but I want direct access to...

Btw, try this version (0.17). Some tweaks here and there (collision detection, levels 3 and 5 a little easier, bug fixes, etc).
I am still struggling at level 2

AWFS (Advanced Wifi Filing System

My next project for the Electron WiFi board is to read and write (!) a disc (or is it disk  ) filing system where the image is on a web server. This will involve a (small) PHP program to handle the file access on the server for writing. I was looking in this ADFS manual for more information...

You're on the list. The advantage of the LED's already soldered is that they won't get lost during transport

I have two orders at PCBWay and I expect them to arrive in the second week of October. So I expect to ship them in the second half of October.

Yeah I was being lazy and playing on Elkulator, I'll have to use my Arc to write a floppy disc and try it on my actual Elk instead.
You can also buy an Electron WiFi card so you can simply download the game from a web server. No hassle with floppy discs any more

Can't you remove and replace the socket, or even just solder the ULA directly to the board?

Re: Atomic ESP8266 WiFi

Now that I have done a lot of work for the Elk WiFi board and improved the software quite a lot, it's time to back-port this to the Atom. One of the problems on the Atom is that most models also lack a large block of memory. Atom2k18 has 128k paged RAM so that is no problem. But other models don't h...

Ordering an ElkWiFi board is very simple. As a matter of fact you almost did  There is a topic in the "For sale" section where you can place your order.

Just to prevent that somebody beats you for the last board of the second batch, I already put your name on the list

I did crudely search the 1,600 or so SSDs I downloaded from STH for fragments of the above, but I couldn't find any sign of it. It's possible that this was never released.
I did the same on the Electron UEF archive, no success either :(

Re: How does BBC Micro generate text in modes 0 - 6?

AFAIK scrolling is still quite efficient because the memory is not copied but the start address of the top row is changed. So you have some kind of hardware scrolling. This is explained in the New Advanced User Guide. Two big advantages of the soft font are: 1. You can (re)define characters (on the ...

You can always point people to this topic for more information. I use Apache for the ElkWiFi development. Assemble the file with beebasm and then download it with *WGET. However, the Python server should also work. I'll try it for myself later.

It's not perfect yet because the printer gives a time-out error and the AT commands are also printed which it should not do. I haven't mastered the ESP8266 pass-through mode completely. print2.jpg I have found a way to prevent the AT codes. To stop the pass-through mode the ESP8266 expects the stri...

I asked him if CTRL+L did start the print job just because of what you said

However, yesterday I noticed that my OKI laser printer also starts to print after the data communication (over the network) has timed out. But I don't think we can compare that with a dot matrix line printer.
