Re: ABUG Cambridge 28th - 30th June 2019 BOOKING THREAD - Now FULL

Has anybody else come down the the lurgie? Ever since I got back all my joints have been aching and I've been coughing and spluttering, so either you lot have been breathing over me, or I picked up something and breathed it all over you. :( (crawls back to bed....) Same here. It started last night....

I would like to say big thank you for having me and thank you to everyone who help me with my little projects on my BBC Master. Great meeting you too Andrew. It was fun sitting with you and witnessing first hand your passion for all things retro -- even if it was using a Master to run Speccy games ...

Hi folks. I'd like to quickly say what a great weekend I have just had. It was great to meet everyone and even though I'm a newbie at these events, the welcome I received was very warm and friendly. I'm just sorry I didn't get a chance to come over and say hi to everyone. I have to give a huge thank...

Non destructive scanning only, this is an item from the Museum's archive and we have to treat it with respect and with all the handling advice that the museum provides. I realised that, but back in the day there were magazines that were small and were held together with staples, so it wouldn't be t...

I don't know what it is about Windows 3.1x but seeing the Program Manager like this brings back many memories of when I used to use Windows back in the day. Everything was much simpler back then.

What's an extra two quid per person attending for the whole weekend? Nothing.

You can't even buy a Euromillions ticket with that.

Thanks for letting us know though.

It is in storage box MAG53 and is entitles "Games Computing" September 1984 Ideally, the full magazine would need scanning. Less than ideally, but better than nothing, I wou...

I have both a Music 500 (or is it 5000, I never know) and a DataCentre (external). I was going to suggest I bring them to the next Abug as I have just booked a table, but I don't know anything about updating firmware so would need someone with experience to help.

Resuscitating an old thread here but I've just acquired a few. Pile of bits I went through today

Today I had the pleasure of looking through a box of bits that I picked up a couple of days ago from someone up in Liverpool. Looks like whoever owned the items had worked in or around schools, or had picked up the items from a school when the school moved on to other systems. Included I have the fo...

Re: Drawing a circle in BBC BASIC

It also doesn't let you do XOR plotting, but that's a bit fiddlier. Yes, that's a very good point. It can easily be forgotten that in order for XOR plotting to work correctly (specified either with GCOL 3 or 4, or by using an 'inverting' PLOT code) every pixel must be plotted just once . Quite rece...
