Re: BIDDING FRENZY!!!

eBay and collecting crap treasure are both addictive. I set myself a budget and strive to pick and choose auctions to save money, patience is the greatest asset. Arcade boards are my Achilles heel... each a computer dedicated to running one game. i now own over 70 of them. My cave is cluttered but I...

Re: Dragon 32 bits.

Yeah CE on the Dragon was certainly one of the better versions (I'll start a religious war here if I say the best, but I prefer it anyway), Beeb version is perhaps next best. Cheers. Phill. This post prompted me to dig out the dragons from the loft. after a fair bit of faff building a tape lead and...

Master 128 Battery Mod

Dunno if anyone else has done this, but its a simple mod to replace the 3xAA battery pack in a master 128 with a CR2032 lithium cell. Holders are available on ebay for pennies. No idea if it will last as long as the AAs but mine have been on the shelf for months since (possibly years) and have both ...

if i tie pa0-7 and ca2 to +5v (via a resistor) will that fool it into thinking no keys are pressed?

alternatively, anyone got a spare beeb keyboard? ive got a spare master one to trade, does have one broken key though.

BBC B wall display

Hi I was recently talking to a colleague about old electronics gear and he pointed out a PCB stuck to the wall of his classroom, asking if there was anything useful on it. Turns out it was a BBC B motherboard.... seemingly intact; Problem is there was nothing else with it. I hooked it up to an ATX P...

Re: 10 PRINT "HELLO!"

hi all, im a longtime retro collector; computers, consoles and arcade machines. the BBC B was my (dads) first computer and ive always loved them. we had an atari 2600 for about a week before that before dad decreed 'all you can do is play games' and exchanged it. After that me and my brother (and da...
