Re: MAME: Tube devices

Been looking at the ReCo6502 and now have it running with either a 65C02 or 65C816.

Configuring the clock with the soft options also works, but still to implement the configuration links and some testing.

Re: Poly 1 Computer

It's a rare machine but I'm well aware of the Poly-1, and Poly-2. I did quite a bit of work on the MAME driver for these machines earlier this year, with help from Andrew Trotman whose site you linked to. The machine is quite complex for it's time, continually banking RAM and ROM to manage upto 128K...

Thanks for the analysis. I already knew it used the VDU80 card but didn't know the significance of the BLK0 line and that the FDC card uses this to move it's IO to &EA00.

Re: MAME: Tube devices

I'm playing with the ROMs for the Torch Communicator that are for the Master (ABM) and BBC 1770 (ABW), but can't get them to read a floppy. Has anyone used these ROMs on real hardware? Probably an emulation issue, but wondered if I need to do something different for the 1770 controllers. The CBL and...

Saboteur (Durell Software) may also of been one that should of possibly been 'dragged over' I would've hoped for some of their earlier releases, Harrier Attack and Scuba Dive. I have a feeling one of them was briefly advertised but nothing came of it. Loads of simpler platform games too like Franke...

Glad you found a suitable setting. I don't use opengl, only bgfx on Windows. Best settings will vary depending on user preference, OS, and graphics card capabilities.

The majority of your settings match mine, apart from the obvious SDL vs Windows options. I generally run mine in windowed mode though, so try adding "-window 1" to the commandline.

Re: Anyone got Communicator system software? (Basic has 65816 assembler)

We dumped the ROMs from 4 Communicators this weekend, all were different. The Briefcase matched the previously dumped set of v1.00 but also managed to get the extra ROM (spectar-v1.0) that makes it report v1.70. The Italian set are prefixed c512 and these ran in current MAME with little trouble. The...

That's great info, Arbee. I think I see that the ROMs we're presently looking at are 1.00, whereas the machine at TNMoC has version 1.70, so if we ever get a dump of those it will be interesting to see how the code has changed - indeed, improved, hopefully. > Version 1.00 13/Nov/86 (C)1986 > Versio...
