Can anyone please advise what the input and output sockets are called on an 8220 so i can order the right plugs and wir...

Best DFS for Master Compact / best MOS version

I have a BBC Master Compact with MOS 5 and ADFS. And I also have a couple of basic questions please as I've assumed a few things! :) Canonman's about to burn me a 64k eprom (a la another thread), and I've read a suggestion to add DFS. But I dont know: a why add DFS when I have ADFS? (Is the reason f...

Heres the list: I read at least one of these was used in later B's and the master: IC5 MAX232 IC9 74ALS1...

Re: Master compact - what use is one without the base?

good to hear they are socket'ed in your compact. thecorfiot has since told me the same thing, so there's hope mine will be too. he's also explained how the sideways ram works on a master/compact so with a little maths I have a proper picture of where all the slots 'are' and therefore i dont need to ...

Master compact - what use is one without the base?

Hi, a couple of questions about a master compact if I may: I've seen one and am a little tempted, I have an external 3.5 and 5.25 I could use. And a suitable psu. And an MMC card interface I could borrow... I think I'm tempted..... questions are: what use is a master compact without the base unit i....

Best /most essential roms to blow onto 64k EPROMs?

Hiya as per the title really! I'm shortly to mod my kids BBC B to use 64k eproms. Lovely. BUT, there's quite a lead time on getting EPROM's blown (i.e. my mate with an EPROM programmer might go off on summer holiday, you never know:) ) so i'd like to sort out a couple 64k ROM images in the next week...
