Awesome! I'd love a high res version of the Jet Set Willy ad from post 1 if that's at all possible, that'd look lovely on my mancave wall!

Re: "Elite The New Kind" released for free
Is this a new version/release or just the same ol' New Kind that's been kicking around for years?

Hi Colin,
I don't own an iphone so I can't help with the scanning but if you can't get hold of one then you could try the website version of the app.

Re: 3D printing
I would of thought so. Price of plastic wouldn't be more than a few pounds. If you have an iphone you can use the 123Catch app to take pictures of the object and then it will turn it into a 3d file that can be printed.
I'm more than happy to have a go at printing a few for you.

Re: what i am missing here 3.5 1.44mb with beeb
This is getting very complicated. If the straight floppy cable from BBC to drive (no twist in it) does not work then I think you have a drive that just will not work. Some drives do not work with a BBC. When I experimented with 3.5" drives I did not alter any jumpers on the FDD. Some worked an...

The idea of "printing" is absolutely great! Sadly, I don't have access to such a device at the moment.... Well, ask someone who does... If someone who has access to an iphone and a button (or course) can download the 123 catch app (Free) and take a load of pictures of it and then it will ...

Nope they're still there but need to be moved down about 3mm to fit the PCB.
I should of said that it fits really well apart from that.

Re: 3D Pinter Choice - Kit - For Printing Cartridges
I've updated the model again to take into account recent findings, and there's an STL file attached here: cartridge.stl.zip Because the top wall of the cartridge is actually 1mm thicker than in Dave's DXF, the board may experience a rather tight fit, but playing around with a mock PCB in OpenSCAD (...

Re: 3D Pinter Choice - Kit - For Printing Cartridges
Yes indeed, I was just waiting until we get a model that is dimensionally correct before I start fiddling with the print process. Slic3r has some nice settings for support and now does the new pillars style. All I did was print the model that paulb posted on page one of this thread, my CAD skills ar...

Re: 3D Pinter Choice - Kit - For Printing Cartridges
Best thing to do would be be to send one of you guys the case, then you can assess it make some changes, if necessary, and then another one can be printed by me or any of the other fine people on here with a printer. Sound good? At a quick glance I think a PCB will fit in there nicely as is though. ...

Configuring the different things is best done in OpenSCAD: it's just a matter of having some settings that get tested when constructing the structure. If you'd like me to add support for such things, just let me know and I'll see what can be done. No need, I used Sketchup; took a couple of minutes ...

@Dave,
I have modded the STL to remove the sticker inset, should print a lot better now.
E2A: Original file wasn't manifold, fixed it and and updated the link.

Had time to try one side of it.

Came out pretty well but if you can lose the slight inset for the sticker on the front side it'll print a lot easier and sturdier.
