Re: Today I recieved.....

Those £30 Robot Arms are a lot of fun although once you get it built they become less interesting, unless, you are intending to create the Scutter Project from the Mag Pi magazine.

I was intending to convert mine but alas my fiddling time quota is too low for any new projects at the moment,

Re: Today I recieved.....

Gladly, although I think the a full Atom case would be too large for the printer but I'll happily give it a go and anything acorn related that is smaller.

I hope he gets his funding but asking nearly ten quid for a mobile game is probably not going to get him anywhere.

Re: Today I recieved.....

for me, i have to stay focused on Acorn =P~ Stuart :) Yes, but have you seen the Amstrad NC100 ... that's got BBC BASIC, so doesn't that count as "Acorn"? Likewise the Z88s - BBC BASIC ... Avoid the NC100's they have tiny screens. NC200's are better as they have a much larger screen.

My current avatar is my business logo, the one before was the cat from Imogen simply because it was one of my favourite games on the Beeb and I love cats.

Me like!

Looking it up on Wiki I see you could expand it to 4Mb, pretty impressive for 1985!

It also had quite a good port of Rick Dangerous.

Re: Today I recieved.....

Bought a cheap GTX 460 GPU from ebay a few days ago for a low end gaming rig I'm building; was a little suspicious when it turned up as it was a bit bigger than a normal 460 I plugged it in and it turned out to be a GTX 560 Ti!

Result!

Re: 3D print Acorn Atom case

Very nice!

Although printing it in one go could be difficult, I think the Makerbot x2 has the volume to do it but most printers won't. The one I have ordered (The Robo3D) definitely won't be able to print it but I'm more than happy to print things for people that are a little smaller.
